IPB appoints new Director of Collaboration and International Programs

Dr. Edy Hartulistiyoso has been appointed Director for Collaboration and International Programs of Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) effective 5 July 2013. He replaced Dr. Rinekso Soekmadi who will move on to be the University’s Director for Student Affairs. Concurrently, Dr. Hartulistiyoso will also be IPB's Coordinator for the University Consortium.

Before his appointment as Director in IPB, Dr. Hartulistiyoso served as the Agricultural Attache at theEmbassy of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the European Union in Brussels, Belgium for three years. However, even before his international stint, he was already affiliated with IPB as Director of Facility and Property (2004 to 2007) and Vice-Head of the Department of Agricultural Engineering (2001 to 2004). He is likewise an alumnus of IPB, having completed his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering in 1987. He completed both his Master’s and PhD degrees at the Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Georg-August University of Goettingen in Germany in 1994 and 1999, respectively.
