The Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences (ALES) is one of the most research-intensive faculties at the University of Alberta. ALES conducts academic and research programs along four important and highly relevant themes: helping feed the world; ensuring a healthy environment; strengthening individual and community well-being; and nurturing bio-resource innovation. Through key partnerships, numerous research labs, on-campus greenhouses and research stations across Alberta, ALES is home to leaders in animal science, food science, human nutrition and plant biosystems.
